This year, homecoming week concluded on Sept. 27, 2025, with the homecoming dance. East students arrived to the school at 7 p.m. for the event. Unlike last year, the dance was held in the main gym and the wrestling room, where tables and chairs were set up. There was no access to the commons; instead, the coat hangers and tables were at the top of the stairs that led into the gym. This year, there were snacks, including chips, Goldfish, pretzels and mini candy bars.
The DJ played a mix of popular songs such as “FE!N” by Travis Scott and “Gnarly” by Katseye, as well as slower songs like “My Girl” by The Temptations.
Fashion at the dance included dresses of varying lengths, colors and textures. Popular styles this year included vibrant colors and sparkles.
For freshmen, the dance was one of many East events. For the seniors, it was the bittersweet start of many lasts.
