Leslie Ladowski, Adviser
Leslie Ladowski is an English teacher at East. She has taught here for a total of 20 years. She has been a yearbook adviser for five years and a newspaper adviser for five years. Some of her favorite parts of being a publications adviser is seeing the excitement when students see their work in print for the first time. Another part is witnessing students become stronger writers and excellent digital designers. Her X-ray highlights include meeting almost every deadline, attending conferences and workshops with students so they can continue to build their skills, sharing late-night production hours, and attending the IHSA State Finals competition with six students last spring. She says of this year's canceled event, "I felt very confident about getting at least one more state medal to add to the one Carmella won two years ago."
