Schilb expressed that she looked up to her sister, commenting, “My older sister played the year before, and I wanted to play to be like her.” Since then, she has always played and been passionate about the sport.
Schilb started to take basketball seriously in middle school, she mentioned that the work she has put in since is the biggest factor of her succeeding to her milestone. Schilb would also like to give credit to the community she has behind her. In the interview, she states, “My teammates and coaches are a huge reason why I have been able to be so successful.” She adds, “My teammates have done a great job in passing me the ball, and my coaches are always so supportive and helpful.”
In thoughts on her accomplishment, Schilb talks about the excitement of it all but she states “The biggest focus is on our team’s success and trying to make it as far as we can in the playoffs,” with confidence.
